Shanin Renee Art Gallery is thrilled to be invited to participate in the silent auction with the Amy Ernst Show at Capricorn Hill this weekend, September 9 and 10! We will include several Charles Malcolm Campbell pieces, including Woman in a High Place, Lute Player, Boy, Blowing in the Wind, and Boy with Hat.
Amy is the granddaughter of the pioneer artist of surrealism and dadaism, Max Ernst, and a talented and well-known artist in her own right. Capricorn Hill is the historical site of the Sedona home Ernst builty with his wife, artist Dorothea Tanning, in the 1940s. It is run and operated by renowned art historian, Mark Rownd.
A portion of the proceeds from the auction will go toward maintaining this incredible historical home through the 501c, Capricorn Hill Center for Surrealism.
